    CAMERA CASE

The CHANEL Camera Case, inspired by photographer and reporter cases, first appeared in the collections of the 1980s. Gabrielle Chanel's diamond quilting motif was inspired by the equestrian world and features an immediately recognizable chain, identical to that of the 2.55 bag.

In the latest collection, the Camera Case features lucky charms echoing symbols of good fortune that Gabrielle Chanel liked to include in her designs.

The Vanity Case, launched in 2016, features a padlock and key invisible at first glance, somewhat like a jewelry box. Equipped with a shoulder strap and a handle, it can be carried on the shoulder or held in hand.

For the Spring‑Summer 2018 collection, the handbag comes in tweed and exotic leather.

    HANDBAG STORIES:
    EMBROIDERED TWEED

Gabrielle Chanel's ambition was to allow women's bodies a sense of freedom. When she set out to create the 2.55 handbag in February 1955, a date which lent its name to the visionary accessory, she came up with a deliberately practical design, worn across the body like a hunter's or soldier's bag. Years later, Karl Lagerfeld conjured up the Classic bag, inspired by the 2.55. It adds CHANEL's emblematic double C to the clasp and entwines leather into the chain strap.

For Spring‑Summer 2018, the handbag comes beaded in checked tweed, giving a new texture to the bag.

    HANDBAG STORIES:
    BOY CHANEL

Inspired by hunters' cartridge bags Mademoiselle used to wear slung across her body, CHANEL's Boy handbag embodies androgynous elegance. Created by Karl Lagerfeld, the iconic design owes its name to Gabrielle Chanel's first love, Boy Capel.

The bag's clean lines, rectangular shape and striking clasp give it an avant-garde look. Thanks to its chain strap, it can be worn multiple ways to conjure up a style fit for today or the future.

    HANDBAG STORIES: <BR/>CHANEL'S GABRIELLE BAG

    HANDBAG STORIES:
    CHANEL'S GABRIELLE BAG

CHANEL’s GABRIELLE bag brings together two materials and expresses the masculine/feminine style so dear to Gabrielle Chanel, after whom it is named. A recent design by Karl Lagerfeld, the handbag takes its inspiration from virtual reality glasses, giving it a decidedly contemporary look. A rigid base and soft body heighten the multiple contrasts. Thanks to the double silver and gold metal chain, it can be worn in different ways, long or short, on the shoulder or across the body or both.
